What is the Sacral Chakra
The sacral chakra is found about three inches below the navel aligning with the center of your belly button. Though, when you are looking for the location of the sacral when on the back of the body, it is found at the same level of the lumbar vertebrae. In other teachings, it is said that the location expands to the genital area. For women, this includes the ovaries and the testicles for men.
The sacral chakra is the center of sexuality and sensuality. The soul issue of the sacral is to experience intimacy with another with a sense of self-respect and to express creative imagination no matter the form. By harnessing the power, the sacral chakra allows you to creatively deal with whatever comes your way with a developed response influenced by your intelligence and emotional patterns.
What Causes Sacral Chakra Imbalances
Sacral chakra imbalances come from different types of environmental factors. Depending on what you are exposed to or engaged in your day to day activity everyone’s emotional state in the sacral chakra can vary. However, there are general feels that can be observed as an imbalance or possibly overactive.
Creative blocks, need to possess another, fear of intimacy, no sense of magic or mystery, tantra, promiscuous, anger, hurt, stuck in a rut.
Natural Remedies for the Sacral Chakra
When it comes to the sacral chakra, understanding what it means to be empathic, how to discover tantra and the foundation of self-nurture are key elements to balancing your inner power of the sacral. But first understanding the difference between sensuality and sexuality is an essential step for the mind, body, and spirit.
Sexuality is defined as something relating to, involving, or a characteristic of sex or sexuality or the sex organs and their functions. For example, intercourse may be a pleasant experience of sex, but the style of the way you perform sex shows of your sensuality. The way you perform sex is the way you fulfill your desires by creating a sensation.
Sensuality is defined as the ability to enjoy and engage in all your senses fully: Touch, smell, taste, sight, and hearing. It is anything that makes you feel physically good and usually self-generated. For example, if you are watching a porn video, the act of porn may make you sexually aroused. Still, the plot and story of your choice would make you sensually aroused.
Your second chakra, the sacral, involves your ability to sense other people’s emotions. This is also called clairsentience or empathy.
Clairsentience is a subtle feeling as if you are experiencing someone else’s feelings yourself. Just like you may ignore your feelings, clairsentience people may not recognize the emotions they pick up from others, yet their body still responds.
Most people are empathic to some degree. But knowing the difference between you and another person’s emotions helps tune out unwanted energies from coming in.
Start with one hand and swipe down from the top of your shoulder down your hand. Do the same with your other hand, opposite arm. Rub and swipe your hand all over your body, your stomach, legs, and back pushing anything energetically downward, claiming your personal space.
Return to Sender
Focus inward into the source of what does not belong to you. This can be an emotion, sensation of pain, worry, or anxiety and ask yourself, “Does this belong to me?” If the answer is an intuitive “no,” then you must release it because it does not serve you or your highest good.
After identified, swipe where you feel the sensation, or if you are unsure, swipe and rub your legs to grab hold of what is not serving you and throw it down to earth and say, “Return to sender.” This energy is then recycled back into the earth.
Do not overcommit or over-promise beyond your cognitive capabilities. If you overextend yourself, you will become drained, and your energy will lessen, feeling more tired and lethargic. Possibly even anxious or cranky. Do not be afraid to say, “no.” And be sure when you give, there is an equal balance.
Tantra is the sacred dance of reuniting duality between an experience of unity with yourself, your partner, and the universe around you. This ancient Sanskrit word means “web” or “to weave energy.” Which is exactly what you are doing!
When couples practice tantra, the energy between the two is far more engaged than the exchange between the genitals. Between the couple, all their chakras are aligned, through the intensity of sexual excitement. Each energy level is woven together, like a web, uniting into one.
Then, the couple has the option on where to focus that energy either at a physical, mental, or heart chakra level. Once the couple decides if they want to focus on a physical, psychological, or heart chakra level, they then determine what to do the sexual tension.

The best way to free yourself is through meditation. Meditation unblocks the things that are holding you back. While you are in meditation, let your energy flow down into the earth and allow the new energy to build and spread throughout your body to give you strength. Just let go. Breathe slowly directing the breath into your sacral chakra, enhancing the orange glow into sensuality.
Remember to breathe deeply and slowly.
Grab your favorite oil or lotion and pour it all over your skin. As you rub your choice of lubricant, spend time massaging your belly, groin, arms, inner thighs, neck, buttocks, and chest. Allow you to give yourself a full body massage. Experience the sensations that feel good and where it feels good without rushing straight to the genitals when it starts feeling good or get horny. Take your time.
The sacral chakra involves caring for, feeding with energy, love, and touch. Leading with love, care, and touch is the essence of maternal qualities. It is your first experience of blissful transcendence of warmth and security.
The simple act of touching is of extreme importance to the healthy functioning of the human organism and even helps with balanced hormones.
Everyone is profoundly affected by touch (yes! Including you!) but yet can be achieved through emotional satisfaction and fulfillment, whether that be nurturance, pleasure, sexual release—anything to soothe you feeling whole.
When you touch, you are saying, “ I am here,” and you allow yourself to leave your ego and feel a sense of connection.
You can think of nurturing like watering a thirsting plant, you respond to flow, to movement, the dance of life, the infinite pleasures and mysteries.

When meditation occurs, it leaves more room for you to operate and record new information. Also, meditation allows other chakras to open your awareness even wider without getting overwhelmed.
By meditating it allows you to think more clearly, enhance your mood, and have better physical coordination. Through meditation, you can tune out the outside world and cultivate awareness of your inner world.
People who use meditation are known to experience improved academic performance. It also has been found to increase in job production, have a decrease in drug use (both in recreational and prescription), and have faster reaction times.
It is hard to deny that mediation has great rewards.
Mediation is a state of mind, not an effort. Once this state is achieved a few times, it begins to self-create rhythms and have its own effect on the world around you. Once it becomes a part of you, it then affects you in healthy ways through sleep and other activities.
Everything in and around you is energy! And when something from the outer world affects you on a subtle level, you may experience a plethora of sensations. These feelings may vary from sensations of being sick, uncomfortable, or you may start to have specific pains in areas that you usually would not. Though, sometimes you could also experience pains and aches every day that they never think much about. For example, you may experience pain in your left shoulder but rarely think of this pain because it is always present. Understanding the basic elements of the chakras can enhance your mood, free your mind, and allow you to become closer to the first-rate version of yourself through subtle body energy.
