A Brief Overview of the Chakras
The Chakras are inside of you! You can think of them as the seven leading energy portals in the body that are constantly spinning. When learning the chakra basics, it is important to understand that each chakra has a specialty about them, and once learned, you can identify each one by simple observations and sensations. All the chakras must be energized and functioning efficiently for all-round wellbeing on all levels of physical, emotional, spiritual.
Chakra categories includes:
Different frequencies, different colors, relationships with various emotional and spiritual issues, connections to different endocrine glands and nerve plexus, different ages in which they develop, different governing elements, different gems, oils, and activities to help balance them.
All the chakras must be energized and functioning efficiently for all-round well-being on all levels of physical, emotional, spiritual.
Why is Knowing the Chakras Important For My Health
It is essential to understand the chakra system because it has a direct connection to your physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Understanding the functions can help you respond to life with awareness rather than being unconsciously reactive.
The chakras act as a step-down transformer converting subtle energy – prana, chi, Reiki, or any universal energy to be used by the hormonal, nervous, and cellular systems of our physical body.
The food and air you breathe are the fuel for your molecular building blocks in the body to thrive.
Each chakra plays a vital role in understanding your relationships, strengths, and weaknesses. Meanwhile, each chakra also involves our sense of who and what you are in the world.
What is the Throat Chakra
The throat chakra is your fifth energy center; located at the center of the neck within the throat. This chakra is the center related to communication through sound, vibration, self-expression, and creativity. The throat chakra is the realm that controls, creates, transmits, and receives communication both within yourself and others around you.
Communication
Communication is the process of transmitting and receiving information through symbols: Written, spoken, musical patterns, omens, electrical impulses to the brain- the throat chakra carries them into data. Communication is also viewed as a symbolic system that mediates between the abstract and manifested ideas.
What Causes Throat Chakra Imbalances
Throat chakra imbalances come from different types of environmental factors. Depending on what you are exposed to or engaged in your day to day activity everyone’s emotional state in the throat chakra can vary. However, there are general feels that can be observed as an imbalance or possibly overactive.
Throat Chakra Imbalances Include:
Incessant chattering, feeling choked off, inability to speak up and speak out, keeping quiet. Communication and or speech problems, knowledge used unwisely, ignorance, lack of discernment, depression.

Throat Chakra Enhancing Activities
Vow of Silence
By avoiding verbal communication, one can open up other avenues of contact with a higher consciousness. You can begin with a few hours or try a day, or even longer! Listening is generally an overlooked component of communication, and by making a vow of silence, it can purify your vibrations of audible sound and better tune in to the subtle sounds around you.
Vow of Silence Tips
When doing this, make a few generic note cards to help you through everyday activities.
Example:
One note card can state, ” I am making this vow of silence to ____________” or ” I am sorry to hear about what you are going through” or “Tell me about the best part of your day.”
Feel free to make this vow to suit your needs. Meaning, if you need to go to work, talk with employees and teammates only when work-related conversations are going on, otherwise, get by with using notecards when necessary if on break and someone is talking with you. The goal is to be active listening and open the Throat Chakra.
Neck rolls
Lift your head away from your shoulders, and slowly roll your head in a circular motion stretching your neck. Stop at any point that feels tense or uncomfortable. And massage that area with your fingers. Be sure to pause in the tight places until it feels good and then continues. Go clockwise and counterclockwise.
Head lift
Head lifts stimulate the thyroid and strengthens the neck.
Life flat on your back and relax. Slowly lift your head while leaving your shoulders on the floor so that you are looking at your toes. Hold this position until you feel an energy surge moving to your neck.
Law Of Resonance
The Law of Resonance is when two things will resonate and connect frequencies. Then, all these frequencies become aligned and become in connection with one another. Not only does this law apply with frequencies, but also all relationships and everything in your life.
Law of Resonance examples:
- Anyone who lives in the same household become rhythm entrained in each other subtle vibrations.
- Women who live together or work together for extended time frames, their menstruation cycle can begin to match up at the same time each month.
- Couples who are married or have been together for a long time often come to look alike, and their speech exhibits similar rhythms.
As a culture, you become the rhythm of your neighbor’s, friends, and peers. In return, you are influenced by your environment, not only visual, psychological, and physiological factors but also on a deep level of inner vibrations.
Resonance Activity
Take a moment to evaluate yourself and the closest relationships around you. Create a list of everyone you have a close relationship with. When creating this list, be honest with who is close to you and do not add names just because you would feel bad if they were not on the list. Remember, this list is for you.
-
- Reflect on your relationship with yourself and those of the names your wrote down. Determine what level of frequency you feel fits that relationship.
- If you feel you have some one on the list that has a lower vibration that yours, brainstorm ways can you allow yourself to build that relationship through the means of communication?
Ether
Ether represents a world of vibrations- the emanations of living things that we experience as the aura, sound, and whispered impressions (telepathy) on the mind into which our more solid reality unfolds.
You can think of the etheric field like a blueprint for the vibrational patterns of your tissues, organs, emotions, activities, expressions, memories, and thoughts. When you enter the throat chakra, you tune into your consciousness and the subtle vibrational field that is around you.
Ether Activity
Most often, people tend to respond to the tone of a voice more than the actual words spoken.
As you go about your day, notice, and take any notes of the general reactions that you have with others around you.
While reflecting on your day, think about if you found yourself reacting to the tone of the voice or what was being said. Or did you respond to both? Journal or comment your experience in detail.
How Can Meditation Help Me
When meditation occurs, it leaves more room for you to operate and record new information. Also, meditation allows other chakras to open your awareness even wider without getting overwhelmed.
By meditating it allows you to think more clearly, enhance your mood, and have better physical coordination. Through meditation, you can tune out the outside world and cultivate awareness of your inner world.
People who use meditation are known to experience improved academic performance. It also has been found to increase in job production, have a decrease in drug use (both in recreational and prescription), and have faster reaction times.
It is hard to deny that mediation has great rewards.
Mediation is a state of mind, not an effort. Once this state is achieved a few times, it begins to self-create rhythms and have its effect on the world around you. Once it becomes a part of you, it then affects you in healthy ways through sleep and other activities.
Final Thoughts
Everything in and around you is energy! And when something from the outer world affects you on a subtle level, you may experience a plethora of sensations. These feelings may vary from sensations of being sick, uncomfortable, or you may start to have specific pains in areas that you usually would not. Though, sometimes you could also experience pains and aches every day that they never think much about. For example, you may experience pain in your left shoulder but rarely think of this pain because it is always present. Understanding the basic elements of the chakras can enhance your mood, free your mind, and allow you to become closer to the first-rate version of yourself through subtle body energy.
